A local councillor is urging Longford businesses to take advantage of St. Patrick's Day and keep their doors open.
Fine Gael councillor Peggy Nolan says the council is funding the parade and businesses should avail of the influx of people coming into Longford Town for the event.
The town was successfully treated to a new format last year, taking place in the evening to benefit the local night-time economy.
