A Boil Water Notice, issued ten days ago, has now been lifted for customers in Longford. Uisce Éireann issued the notice on October 3rd for the Granard Public Water Supply. It said that following consultation with the HSE customers on this supply can now resume normal use.
The notice, which affected over 2,000 customers, was issued due to operational issues at Lough Kinale water treatment plant. Uisce Éireann said it regrets any inconvenience the Boil Water Notice had on the community of Granard.
