While the St. Patrick's Day celebrations may have just begun for the region, Longford got a head start yesterday.
A colourful parade took to the streets of Longford Town yesterday evening, with over a thousand people coming from near and far to see the performance.
The town was treated to a brand-new format this year, with the parade taking place in the evening to benefit the local night time economy.
A number of schools, community groups and businesses led the procession with live music and dancing.
