Justice Minister has agreed to meet the family of Leitrim man Liam Farrell in the next two weeks.
The 87-year-old was found dead outside his house in Rooskey nearly six years ago.
His family believes he was attacked.
The case was raised in the Dáil today by Labour TD Conor Sheehan and Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny, who said the garda investigation was inadequate.
