LISTEN: Dáil hears calls for urgent action to assist distressed Longford teenager

The Dáil has heard details of a traumatic case involving a 16-year-old Longford boy with behavioural issues.

Fianna Fáil TD Joe Flaherty says the child urgently needs residential care.

He says the state is failing to support families in crisis, especially for children with intellectual and behavioural issues.

Deputy Flaherty said the Longford family are in the midst of the deepest, darkest crisis at the moment.
