Leitrim's commercial rates could be set to rise

Leitrim County Council is proposing the rise, ahead of its annual budget meeting next Monday.

Commercial rates could be set to increase by 5 per cent in Co Leitrim next year.

Leitrim County Council is proposing the rise, ahead of its annual budget meeting next Monday.

The council intends spending 64 million euro in 2026 - and continuing a six-year capital investment programme.

Councillors will have the final say on the proposed rates increase next Monday.
