County Leitrim has been upgraded to a status orange wind warning from tomorrow afternoon.
The warning will be in effect from 2pm until 10pm.
Met Éireann is warning of near gale force to gale force and very gusty southwest to west winds.

The forecaster says this may lead to fallen trees, damage to power lines and possible power outages and very difficult travelling conditions
A seperate status yellow warning for wind is currently in place for other counties in the Shannonside region.
The warning took effect at 6am and will remain in place until 8pm tonight.
