Leitrim has been revealed as the county with the highest percentage of forest cover in Ireland.
It was revealed today following the publication of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine's Annual Forest Statistics Report for 2025.
The county has 20.1% forest cover with Wicklow the second highest at 18.5%.
Meanwhile, Roscommon has 12.4% cover and Longford has 9.5%.
