Leitrim councillor renews call for cantilever bridge in Rooskey

He's seeking an update from the National Transport Authority.

A local councillor says he still wants to see a cantilever bridge installed in Rooskey. Fianna Fáil Cllr Sean McGowan is seeking an update from the NTA regarding the future of Rooskey Bridge. Earlier this year, Leitrim councillors ruled out traffic lights being installed.

However, the National Transport Authority said they will only support a traffic light system which is estimated to cost almost €500,000. Cllr McGowan says the installation of traffic lights would be a disaster:
