Leitrim councillor calls for Carrick pedestrian crossing to be moved

Sinn Féin Cllr Cormac Flynn is bringing forward a motion to next week's Carrick Municipal District meeting.

A Leitrim Councillor is calling for a new traffic management plan to be trialled in Carrick-on-Shannon. Sinn Féin Cllr Cormac Flynn is bringing forward a motion to next week's Carrick Municipal District meeting. He's calling for a trial system which would see the pedestrian crossing along the N4 at Coffey's moved further down towards the entrance of Cryan's Hotel along with other minor traffic control measures.

Cllr Flynn believes the current pedestrian crossing is leading to further traffic congestion in the town:
