Leitrim council spends almost €1m on legal fees in two years

Last year's legal bill was almost €388,000.

Leitrim County Council has spent almost €1 million on legal fees over the past two years.

According to freedom of information figures, the bill came to nearly €570,000 in 2024.

It dropped to just over €388,000 last year.

Sinn Fein councillor Brendan Barry is calling on the council to keep the bill as low as possible:
