A leading Fine Gael politician in Co Leitrim is strongly criticising the online abuse of Heather Humphreys during the presidential campaign.
Drumshanbo councillor Enda McGloin was part of her campaign team.

He says it will prevent other people from getting into politics.
Cllr McGloin also says Ms Humphreys suffered from an anti-government vote.

According to the Leitrim man, it was a disappointing result for her.
