A Sinn Féin councillor is calling on Leitrim County Council to install traffic calming measures by a local national school and childcare facility. Cllr Brendan Barry is bringing forward a motion to next Mondays Ballinamore Municipal District meeting.
He believes there should be traffic calming measures installed beside the Ballinamore Childcare and National School as a matter of urgency. Cllr Barry says a child was recently hit by a car beside the school and believes action now needs to be taken by Leitrim County Council:
