A local hospital is the most overcrowded hospital in the country today.
That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation figures, which show over 181 patients were waiting for a bed at facilities nationwide.
This morning, 26 people were waiting admission at Sligo University Hospital
This includes 22 in the Emergency Department and 4 elsewhere in the hospital.
2 and 3 patients were waiting at the Midland Regional Hospitals in Mullingar and Portlaoise respectively.
Nationally, there were 181 people waiting at hospitals across the country.
