Late businessman's impact on Boyle 'there for all to see'

He will be laid to rest following funeral mass in St Joseph's Church in Boyle tomorrow afternoon.

Tributes continue to be paid to north Roscommon businessman Barry Feely, following his passing on Monday. Mr Feely along with his brother Pat developed their stone business, Feelystone to be one of the largest in Ireland after taking over from their father, Henry. He wrote two books 'They Dared to Challenge in the Garrison Town of Boyle' and 'We are the survivors. Boyle workhouse & emigration and famine times.'

The late Mr Feely also held many roles within the community, with Boyle Arts Festival, Boyle Musical Society and Boyle GAA Club. Boyle-based auctioneer Mike (Junior) Smith says his impact on the town is there for everyone to see:
