Health watchdog HIQA has released its inspection reports on a number of private hospitals.
Among those was St Patrick's Hospital in Carrick-on-Shannon, which received a report following a two-day review in April.
The facility, a rehabilitation and community hospital, was operating only eight out of 16 beds at the time of the inspection due to fire safety works and staff shortages.
There are plans to re-open the closed beds in the hospital, with the aim of returning to full operational capacity of 16 beds before the end of 2025.
Inspectors found the hospital "substantially compliant" with governance and staffing standards, but flagged the lack of single rooms and gaps in medication oversight.
Patients praised the "remarkable" care and excellent food, while staff were commended for protecting dignity and maintaining a respectful culture.
Management have committed to reopening beds, updating committee processes, and strengthening oversight to address the areas for improvement identified.
