Roscommon IFA is calling on landowners to be more careful regarding fires after a massive forest blaze near Ballaghaderreen at the weekend.
It broke out on Saturday afternoon in Carrentemple, Co Sligo, and spread to Derrinabrook and Cloontia, near the Roscommon border.
It covered around 3km and there was significant damage to forestry.
Emergency services eventually brought it under control on Saturday night.
Roscommon IFA chairman Pat Leonard has issued a warning to avoid a repeat.
