A historic mansion in north Roscommon is set to reopen, weeks after it was closed as a result of criminal incidents. King House in Boyle was forced to close following a big oil spill on its grounds. Roscommon County Council announced the closure of the building including Boyle Library following the incident last month. It's been announced this week that King House will reopen for a planned concert this Saturday night. However, library services will remain closed to allow for ongoing remedial works.
Local councillor Sean Moylan has welcomed the reopening of the popular venue:
