Just under fifty local people accessed cocaine addiction services last year

Just under fifty people across the Shannonside Northern Sound r region were treated for cocaine addiction last year.

According to new figures published by the Health Research board, twenty-one people presented with cocaine addiction issues to drug treatment services in Cavan last year.

This compares to just 17 in 2017

Seventeen people accessed drug treatment in Roscommon last year, compared to 14 in 2018 and eleven people accessed cocaine addiction services in Longford.

Figures were not available for Monaghan or Leitrim.
