John Hume's family urge people not to line Derry streets for funeral

The family of John Hume have requested people do not line the streets of Derry to pay their respects.

There's a worry doing so may put someone's health at risk due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

They've instead asked people to stay at home this evening and light a candle at 9pm in a "Celebration of Light for Peace".

The remains of the Nobel Peace Prize winner will be removed from his home to Saint Eugene's Cathedral in Derry this evening.
