Jobs at three Eurogiant stores in the Shannonside region are in jeopardy.
The company that runs the chain of discount stores has gone into liquidation.
It has outlets in Longford town, Monksland and Roscommon town.

A spokesperson for the company says rising costs and increased competition mean the business is no longer viable in its current form.
All stores remain open and are trading as normal while a full review of the store network is carried out.
