The head of Ballyhaunis fire station is calling for Castlerea’s station to reopen – eight years after it shut down.
It was discussed at a public meeting in Gortaganny in west Roscommon last night, attended by around 100 people.
Landowners want state support after their forestry was destroyed in a massive blaze last month.
