Irish Rail has announced a proposed range of updated timetables for commuters in the Shannonside region.
Among the proposed changes is an extension to the current 7:30am service from Athlone to Galway.
This service would commence at 6:50am from Tullamore and will also serve Clara.

Also included in the proposals is a new 7:08am service from Athlone to Westport which Irish Rail says will be a welcome addition for regional commuters.
The proposals, if approved, would come into effect from the 11th of December this year.
