Irish Rail has announced it will be installing a system to make level crossings safer at a Roscommon train station.
A train detection warning system is being established at the level crossing near Barry Beg in Kiltoom.
It will serve the Mayo-Dublin route and will become operational next week.
Train detection warning systems have now been installed at 76 user-operated level crossings at various locations around the country.
