Ireland's highest temperature of the year so far has been recorded in Co Roscommon.

Met Eireann says Mount Dillon hit 29.6C on June 20th.

Last month was the fourth warmest June on record for Ireland, with an average temperature of 15C.

But the amount of sunshine was below average for the month, dullest in the west.
