Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says Thursday will be the hottest day of the week.

Temperatures could touch 33 degrees in some places this week.

It comes as a heat dome passes over the country, with Met Éireann forecasting temperatures in the mid to high 20s throughout the week.
