Keir Starmer has announced he is resigning as British prime minister.
Nominations for the new leader of the UK's Labour Party will open on July 9th and they'll close during the summer recess.
A new leader will be in place by September.
Starmer's leadership has been under pressure for months because of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, disastrous local election results, cabinet resignations and concerns over the economy.
That ramped up last week with his main rival Andy Burnham winning a seat in a crucial byelection.
