Investigation underway after boy killed by Tractor in Kerry

The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place as Gardaí carry out a forensic collision investigation.

Investigations are underway after a boy was killed in a road collision with a tractor in Co. Kerry.

The boy was walking on Beaufort Bridge at around 7.30 last night when he was knocked down.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to University Hospital Kerry where a post mortem will be carried out.

The driver of the tractor - a man aged in his 20's - wasn't hurt in the collision.

The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place as Gardaí carry out a forensic collision investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and especially want to hear from anyone in the Beaufort Bridge area between 7 and 7.45 pm last night who may have camera footage.
