Internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Catriona Hanly, from Strokestown, has died while aged in her early 50s.
Her family said: "It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Catriona Hanly, Parkowen, Strokestown, Co Roscommon, and Dublin, peacefully on Saturday 8th November 2025."
She's sadly missed by her parents Bertie and Imelda, brothers Alan, Marcus and Enda, sister Tara and extended family and friends.

Catriona studied at Central St Martin's in London and the Barbara Bourke College of Fashion in Dublin.
Her fashion collections made waves in Ireland, the UK and the US.
Her stand-out creative design caught the attention of celebrities worldwide, including Wolf of Wall Street Actress Madison McKinley in LA, Amanda Byram, Victoria Smurfit, Vogue Williams and Laura Whitmore.
She was nominated for Irish Designer of the year 2015, won Jewellery Designer of the Year and her designs have stood out at Ascott, Cheltenham, The Irish Television Awards, the VIP Style Awards, House of Icons pre Oscar Fashion Show in Hollywood and starting to grace carpet events in LA, London, Dublin and Cannes.
