Gardaí have caught a motorist speeding in Roscommon while conducting a speed check in the area yesterday.
The car was found to be travelling at 120 km per hour in a 60 km per hour zone.
The driver was a learner but unaccompanied, had no L plates, and no NCT.

The motorist had also been on his phone when pulled up by Gardaí.
The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.
Fines were issued and court proceedings are to follow.
