The IFA President has welcomed funding approved by cabinet for people who lost fodder when the Shannon Callows lands flooded earlier in the year. Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue announced yesterday that €800,000 will be made available to farmers with this scheme.
IFA President Tim Cullinan admitted that it has been a very challenging year for farmers and believes that the funding should be made available as soon as possible. Speaking to Let's Talk earlier today, Cullinan says there needs to be a structure put in place sooner rather than later:
