The HSE says there's currently no decision to remove Regional Hospital Mullingar clinics from Longford. It follows claims that a number of patients who attend a clinic at St Josephs' Care Centre were told it would be moved next month. The clinic acts on a GP referral basis and for follow-up appointments for patients who've been treated in Mullingar.
In a statement to Shannonside FM this afternoon, the HSE said management are working with the clinical team to plan for service provision. It says it wants to ensure the continuity of safe and efficient surgical services for the benefit of patients in Longford.
