HSE and Department to appear before Oireachtas Health Committee

The HSE and Department of Health will be asked to explain how the health service can be run next year.

Representatives of both will appear before the Oireachtas Health Committee today.

Their appearance comes against a backdrop of a recruitment freeze and lower than expected budget funding.

Sinn Fein's Health Spokesperson David Cullinane says honesty is needed.
