The Castlerea F45 eircode had the lowest median price in the country at €150,000, with a house in the Boyle F52 postcode €175,000.

House prices in the Shannonside region have remained steady.

That's according to the latest report from the Central Statistics Office.

Roscommon's F42 saw a median price of €260,000 in November, while properties in Longford's N39 were at €205,000.

The Athlone N37 eircode was the most expensive locally at €315,000.

Elsewhere, the Carrick-on-Shannon N41 eircode saw a median of €200,000.

Nationally, the median price for a house in the last twelve months was €384,000.
