Mount Dillon in Co Roscommon has experienced its hottest April temperature in history today.
The weather station recorded a high of 25 degrees Celsius today.
Fifteen other stations in Ireland saw their April temperature records broken today.
Cathal Nolan, from Ireland's Weather Channel, says it was very hot in the Shannonside region this afternoon:
