Hospitality sector can reopen if vaccinated customers are screened, according to Tánaiste

Two million people have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Ireland, according to the Taoiseach.

The Tanaiste has indicated indoor dining can only reopen if the hospitality sector is willing to check if customers have been fully vaccinated.

Leo Varadkar says the EU Digital Covid Cert can be used as proof of vaccination and they’re also looking at other options.

Representatives from the industry will meet with senior government officials this afternoon.
