A local athletics club chairman is hopeful the proposed 400m eight lane running track in Roscommon Town will open in the next 2-3 years. Roscommon AC chairman Paul McNamara says the track will massively benefit young athletes in the region.
The Lisnamult Community Enterprise CLG lodged a planning application for an athletic field incorporating a 400 metres running track with perimeter fence, six 18 metre high floodlights and four 15 metre high floodlights at Lisnamult. Mr. McNamara says the project should be off the ground soon:
