New figures show 132 people in the Shannonside region died by suicide over the past 10 years.

Concern is being raised about the number of older people in Co Roscommon taking their own lives.

New figures show 132 people in the Shannonside region died by suicide over the past 10 years.

There were 77 in Co Roscommon - and almost three quarters were male.

Ballaghaderreen councillor Micheál Frain says the statistics are worrying:
