Home care providers are warning the sector's facing its worst ever recruitment crisis.
An Oireachtas Committee will later hear how an extra 3,000 staff are needed this year to cover 24 million HSE funded hours.
Home and Community Care Ireland will also outline its impact on a growing national waiting list for home care, which it says has gone from 800 to 5,000 in four months.
