Nine MEPs from throughout Europe are meeting in Dublin this evening to discuss a €5 billion masterplan for Athlone.
Members of the European Parliament's housing committee will meet a delegation from the Ballymore Group.
The group is led by Roscommon developer Sean Mulryan.

Under the plan, Athlone would become a 'green city' of 100,000 people by 2040.
