Helipad at Sligo University Hospital to be operational in next 6 weeks

The HSE says that work on the helicopter pad at Sligo University Hospital will be complete in the next 6 weeks.

Works on the pad commenced in October and it was unavailable for use, meaning that an ambulance was required to bring urgent patients to Sligo and also to transfer patients to other hospitals.

The HSE says that once the project is complete the Helipad should be fully operational for emergency and critical care.
