A special Halloween event taking place later today could be the start of 'something big' for Roscommon.
That's according to Tourism Officer Lisa Joy, who was speaking ahead of the Samhain Procession in the county town.
The event is being organised by Rathcroghan Visitor Centre and Roscommon Arts Centre in collaboration with a local artist.
It will start at The Square in Roscommon at 5.30 pm this evening and make its way to the arts centre.
The procession will feature community workshops in lantern-making, mask-making, and drumming.
