A Leitrim secondary school has been given the green light for a new two storey extension.
The new space at Carrick-on-Shannon Community School will include eight classrooms which includes a home-economics and art room, two science labs and a music room.
The planning also includes permission to provide two special education tuition rooms, toilets and a boiler room with a new car park and ballcourt also planned for.

Two existing pre-fabs, a shed and container are set to be demolished.
Leitrim county planners granted the permission with 9 conditions attached.
