Government to decide on working from home directive next week

A full return to remote working would be a backward step, according to a group representing small and medium-sized businesses.

A final decision won't be made until next Tuesday about whether people will be told to work from home where possible.

NPHET issued that advice after its meeting yesterday - and wants employers to be supportive to their staff.

It's concerned at rising Covid case numbers, with the five-day moving average now standing at 3,364.

Junior Minister Niall Collins says NPHET's advice will get lots of consideration from his government colleagues.
