A government TD is calling for the Leitrim Marina Hotel to reopen as a tourist hotel - after it was rejected as a refugee centre.
The Department of Integration was considering accommodating asylum-seekers in the Leitrim Village facility.
It caused uproar in the community and the offer was formally turned down yesterday.
