Roscommon County Council has formally approved the construction of a columbarium wall and adjoining reflection area at St Coman's Cemetery in Roscommon town.
It is to be the first of its kind in the county.
When completed, the development will see the installation of eight granite columbarium units - together with a landscaped reflection space featuring granite paving, benches, and low-maintenance hedging.

Works are expected to be completed within 2026.
