An event to celebrate Roscommon people at home and abroad gets underway today.
Global Rossies Day was due to take place as a festival this year but now the talent, achievements and life stories of Roscommon people worldwide will be showcased online.
It's part of a campaign to bring the diaspora together with updates from life and work being done in the county to make it an attractive place to return or relocate to live and work.
The event, which will include a mix of videos with businesses, people involved sports and cultural life and Roscommon communities at home and abroad will be streamed live on social media platforms and can be accessed on You Tube at Roscommon Bound.
Beginning at 2 o' clock this afternoon, Nollaig Whyte from the Regeneration Team in Roscommon Council says it's time to showcase the quality of all aspects of life in the county:
