Organisers of a rally in support of the people of Gaza are expecting a large crowd in Roscommon this afternoon.
It's one of two such peaceful demonstrations taking place in the Shannonside region today.
They're part of nationwide protests organised by members of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

The first of the local protests took place at 5.30 yesterday evening in Boyle with further gatherings in Roscommon town and Carrick-on-Shannon today.
The event in Roscommon will commence at 2pm in The Square while the Carrick demonstration will be held at 3pm at the bridge.
Deirdre Allen is one of the organisers of the Roscommon demonstration.
