Gardaí will be out in force across the region this weekend as the Christmas period comes to an end.
The operation aims to curb speed related collisions and curb drink and drug driving and will continue until Monday.
Gardaí, will target dangerous driving, reminding motorists that speeding endangers lives and increases the risk of fatal accidents.

Sergeant Stephen McDonagh from the Roscommon Roads Policing Unit says time will be allocated to enforce the campaign.
