A substantial amount of drugs and cash have been seized following search operations in Longford Town.
Five residential properties in the town were searched under warrant with €27,500 work of suspected cocaine and €1,000 of cannabis found.
Local Gardaí also confiscated €4,000 of cash and arrested a man in his 20s who is currently being detained at a Garda station in the region.

The operation involved the Mayo/Roscommon/Longford Drugs Unit, Sligo/Leitrim Drugs Unit and Longford Gardaí.
This seizure forms part of Operation Tara, the Gardaí national anti-drugs strategy targeting drugs distribution networks.
The man in his 20s will appear before Longford District Court at a later date.
